Another week of interesting announcements regarding Tiger Woods PGA Tour '10. Not only have they decided to move up the release date on the game to June 8th, but they are also putting their money where your mouth is, in an attempt to create another viral video success!
On Monday, EA Sports announced that Tiger Woods 10 for the Wii will release a week earlier than expected. As well Grand Slam Tennis will also ship out the same day in North America in an effort to get the new Wii Motion Plus remote in the hands of anxious Wii gamers (let's start calling them Wigamers). For those of you that missed our previous discussion on the new Wii Motion Plus remote, here's a refresher.
In other exciting Tiger Woods news, EA Sports has announced a contest to help stimulate the economy (or at least your personal economy) by providing them with the next big viral video for Tiger Woods '10. Think you have the skills to make the next big thing? EA is willing to pay the winner 50,000 American dollars to have it.
My question now is, how does someone make a better video than Tiger Woods as Jesus? I mean serioulsy, that seems to me like the mecca of all sports comparisons, am I wrong? I guess because it is going to be that hard to top Walking on Water users will certainly earn the $50,000. For those of you interested in trying to top it, here are the contest details:
• May 7 – July 1: Asset kit available and submission window open
• July 2 – July 15: EA SPORTS panel judging
• July 16 – July 30: Top 5 videos are published and public voting window opens
• August 16: Viral Challenge winner is announced
