EA Sports is at it again, which means it’s time to get ready for another installment of the collegiate powerhouse with NCAA Football 10.

While I was only able to play a demo version of the game, it did show off some of the new mechanics and they worked rather well.  Franchise mode, mascot games and other different game modes weren’t present but what they brought in the 8 minute exhibition of last year’s title contest played true to the form we expect year in and year out.

More details after the jump!

Some of the new features that stood out:

  • Gameplanning -  Allows you to set up your offensive and defensive tendencies from the start of the game!
  • Erin Andrews -  Seriously, what else needs to be said about the sideline reporter who has it all?
  • More Authentic Stadiums/Pageantry -  Field Goald Nets, wind socks and authentic marching bands + routines to give each home game a feeling of it being “in the game."

She's foxy alright!

With over 1000 new animations also slated to debut on the game which will include the new “throw while being sacked” animation that’ll drive thousands of us crazy with lame duck interceptions.  NCAA Football is looking to bust the wedge through Madden’s superiority and make a run at the crown for itself on the PS3, Xbox 360, PSP and PS2.
