Starting October 12, Nintendo will release a new Wii Sports Resort bundle that includes two Wii Motion Plus accessories instead of one. This limited edition package will cost $59.99. The original Wii Sports Resort cost $49.99 but only came with one Motion Plus. Individually, Motion Pluses cost $19.99, so this is a good deal (essentially you get $10 off, for you math challenged readers out there).

EA announced that Skate 3 is in the works and scheduled for a May 2010 release. The Skating franchise that finally challenged Tony Hawk's monopoly on the skating video game genre is looking to emphasize community and co-op in this new game.

“The social and community aspects of the SKATE franchise are something we’ve always embraced, but we’ve never done anything to the scale you’re going to see in SKATE 3,” said Senior Producer, Jason DeLong. “We’re giving gamers a very unique experience by providing them with the tools they need to build their ultimate team or to create a team comprised entirely of their online friends. From there, it’s all about proving yourself – teaming up, and throwing down.”

Being the country boy that I am, I can’t help but become a suckerfish (lol @ myself) for fishing titles such as Angler’s Dream. Hell, I remember playing numerous ‘bass’ titles on my N64 and Playstation, but they were all missing something … A WIIMOTE!

The Wii seems perfect for this kind of software right? Well, considering how many fishing titles we’ve seen so far, that may not be true. Agreed, some weren’t horrible, but I have yet to encounter a truly enjoyable Wii-fishing experience (granted, I haven’t played them all).

So what exactly does Angler’s Dream offer?

Shaun White enjoyed huge success to the tune of over 3 million copies sold last year with his snowboarding hit. Never one to rest on their laurels, Ubisoft will be bringing a sequel to the smash hit with "Shaun White Snowboadring: World Stage."  A notable change is that this iteration of the series will be made exclusively for the Wii.

This time around, players will hit the slopes with Shaun White and his crew as you look to tackle the world's most competitive snowboarding sites around the world (obviously) as well as slick new stages in the center of Times Square.

Publisher Activision and developers Robomodo and Buzz Monkey are looking to reinvent the way skateboarding games are played with Tony Hawk: Ride.

I have to be the first to admit that this new skateboard controller-like accessory might already be obsolete by the time it releases for the holiday season. Microsoft's revolutionary "Project Natal" aims to do what the skateboard peripheral supposedly already does. In fact, you can see the cheesy actors playing some kind of skateboard game in the video embedded with my "Natal" post earlier.
