Below is a fairly short video that illustrates some of the new and improved features of FIFA Soccer 10.

Now, before you start drooling over the video, let me say that I spent 5+ hours with FIFA 10 yesterday. THE. GAME. IS. SPECTACULAR.

I honestly can't imagine a more fluid and comfortable soccer game. Everything seems to be tuned to perfection while still retaining the familiar and comfy structure. With new and improved animations, AI, game modes and control, I'm confident enough to say that FIFA Soccer 10 will be the best-selling and top-rated sports game of 2009 (NA & EU)

I recommend you take the time to view the video, and remember that every example was pulled directly from the game. The graphical presentation will blow you away.

New screens for Fifa 10.

You heard right folks. FIFA 10 has had an amazing launch in Europe and has become the fastest-selling sports game of all time. This news is parallel to the fact that soccer (aka football) is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world (MMA being another).

Now, if you haven’t acquired the FIFA 10 demo, I strongly urge you to slap your girlfriend (or whoever may be responsible) and download it immediately. The game features all sorts of new content such as practice arena, customizable set pieces (video after jump), animations, 360 degree dribbling, and improved AI.

I gotta say, the FIFA 10 demo feels more responsive than FIFA 09. While I've been playing last year's edition non-stop in preparation for my review, I can't help but jump in every odd minute for some quick glory.

Read on for more info and an awesome tutorial video on how to customize set pieces in FIFA 2010.

FIFA 10 was the recipient of a pretty notable honor at the recent GamesCom in Cologne, Germany, earning itself the coveted IGN Reader's Choice Award at the games exhibition. This is particularly impressive because despite being a yearly release, think Madden for Euros, it was still voted the best by those in attendance.

PS3 & XBox 360 Screens

Apple's iPhone has been exploding ever since its initial release. Along with easy navigation and cool features, users are graced with a seemingly-endless library of games. One genre in the iPhone's extensive, yet limited gaming variety is sports, which is crammed with titles ranging from piss poor to excellent.

Real Soccer 2009 is a great purchase for sportsman iPhone owners, especially considering the $1 pricetag. Although, some die hard fans of the genre may be disappointed in the lack of options and control.

Much like Let's Golf, Real Soccer 2009 shows users the iPhone's 'athletic' potential while still refraining as an enjoyable game.

FIFA Soccer 10, which is coming out this October, is looking good. This is what the cover art will look like featuring the three cover athletes: Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard, who is on all versions of the cover, will be joined by MLS stars Cuauhtémoc Blanco of the Chicago Fire and Sacha Kljestan of Chivas USA. The inclusion of MLS stars brings some local flavor to the North American cover.

New screens for Fifa 10.

Whenever I hear that a sports game is being developed entirely with the Wii in mind, I tend to cringe and fight off the pain of a little piece of me dying inside. Because it is with that caveat that a sport is all but resigned to a fate of arcadey nunchuk swinging shenanigans where any resemblance between the sport and the video game is stamped out in favor of a pick up and play family style game.

FIFA 10 for the Wii may be falling into that category, but that didn't stop me from having a lot of fun while playing it.

FIFA 09 set the bar pretty high in the realm of virtual soccer, earning itself a ridiculous 25 awards from the international gaming press.  That's a lot of hardware to bring home and EA Sports looks to add to its mantle with this year's FIFA 10.  With pressure from PES 2010, it should be exciting to see how the guys behind FIFA  build upon one of the finest soccer, erm "football" games out there.

There's a whole suite of new additions being made to the game, the most notable of which are located JUST after this jump.

PS3 & XBox 360 Screens

Here is an interesting video that shows some behind the scenes development details for the upcoming Pro Evo Soccer 2010. Never mind that the video is mostly subtitled and that the PES producer is mysteriously nicknamed “Seabass,"  this video is very interesting.

My thoughts on the video after the jump.

PES 10 coverboy, Fernando Torres, will NOT look like this in the Wii version of PES 10, despite the reported "improved graphics"... this is a PS3 screen.

Pro Evo Soccer 2010 is coming to the Wii this fall shortly after the PS3 and 360 versions. Konami is promising some interesting innovations in this year’s title. Unlike most sports games on the Wii, PES 2010 will focus on creating a realistic experience.

A new “balance system” will be key to making the gameplay more realistic. There is a new “instantaneous stamina” feature in addition to general stamina that will keep gamers from abusing quick sprinting players. Players will tire and their sprints will get slower and sloppier, affecting their balance and ball control. On the defensive end, if defenders repeatedly challenge for possession, they too will tire and lose their balance and speed.
